McFarland Cascade, a Stella-Jones Company, produces treated wood products. This role is hands on and labor intensive. You will be challenged to learn new process systems, including pressure vessels, boilers, vacuum systems and much more for the process of treating and preserving wood.

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the recording and documenting systems activity so attention to detail and the ability to accurately process data is essential.
Sample, test, and treat water systems, including inspection, documentation of chemical usage and supplies inventory
Clean systems which includes the handling, process, and storage of hazardous waste
Identify and inspect materials for conformance, inspect binders and cables, and move and store charges

Communication is key – you'll be monitoring process systems and hazardous waste
Ability to problem solve – data collection, analyze the system performance and respond
Knowledge – ability to learn on the job as well as ability to obtain a WSDA pesticide license within 9 months of hire
Teamwork – ability to establish and maintain working relationship with fellow Treaters
Flexibility – this is in a 24/7/365 treating facility
